Dun & Bradstreet Teams Up with IBM to Advance Ethical Generative AI Solutions Fueled by watsonx

Dun & Bradstreet, a prominent global provider of business decisioning data and analytics, has entered into a strategic collaboration with IBM (NYSE: IBM) to integrate Dun & Bradstreet’s Data Cloud with IBM’s watsonx. This partnership aims to support organizations in responsibly expanding their adoption of generative AI, with Dun & Bradstreet planning to utilize watsonx for its workflows and solutions, with the backing of IBM Consulting.

The collaboration seeks to develop tailored offerings enabling clients to seamlessly incorporate generative AI into their existing workflows, fostering growth and efficiency across various business functions. Leveraging watsonx, IBM’s advanced AI and data platform, and drawing from Dun & Bradstreet’s Data Cloud, which includes information on over half a billion private and public companies, this initiative will harness market-leading Identity Resolution and generative AI capabilities.

Among the solutions in the pipeline is Dun & Bradstreet’s Ask Procurement™, designed in collaboration with IBM. This innovative solution aims to empower procurement professionals by providing a comprehensive 360-degree view of business relationships, unlocking new data and insights to increase savings, reduce time, and mitigate potential risks. Expected for delivery in the first half of the upcoming year, Ask Procurement will seamlessly integrate with Dun & Bradstreet solutions or an enterprise’s existing ERP or procurement solution.

She highlighted the synergy between the two brands, with a combined experience of nearly 300 years, making them well-equipped to guide companies through the evolving generative AI landscape.

The collaboration will involve D&B.AI™ Labs, IBM Consulting, and IBM Expert Labs teams utilizing the IBM Garage methodology. They will work on building AI use cases, implementing watsonx, and developing applications addressing employee productivity, enhancing customer experiences, mitigating business risks, automating workflows, and optimizing efficiency.
